My wife Teri suffered a cardiac arrest early Palm Sunday 2016.

I awoke to find her on the floor, white foam coming out of her nose & mouth I immediately called 911 & with the assistance of the 911 operator performed CPR until ambulance arrived. Teri was taken to Doylestown Hospital where after several hours I was told that I resuscitated her from death, but an MRI showed that she suffered a global anoxic brain injury with little chance of survival. Teri was given last rites on Monday & friends and family were told to say goodbye. Teri survived being paddled more than 20 times. Wednesday she was medevaced to Jefferson Neurological Hospital for 10 days, was in a step-down unit 17 days and a Moss Rehab in patient 4-5 weeks. Teri suffers from Aphasia, Apraxia, & Balint syndrome. The lack of oxygen has also affected many of her organs, which didn’t manifest until years later.

Teri finally started to feel better in summer of 2022 and now wants to continue her fight to help others with TBI & Anoxic brain injuries.

Please support her in the 2026 Run, Walk, Roll for Brain Injury on Saturday, April 25th at Tyler State Park by registering and joining her in her walk or by donating to her fundraising page. (Or Both).
