Noah Sideman Tackles Gravel Grinder Races for BIAPA Riding for Health, Hope & Healing
For the past six months, BIAPA board member Noah Sideman has been riding in Gravel Grinder races throughout central Pennsylvania to raise awareness and support for brain injury prevention, education, advocacy, and recovery services. Thanks to contributions from family, friends and bicycle enthusiasts, he raised over $1,000 for BIAPA.As if riding in a challenging gravel grinder race wasn’t enough, Noah also hosted a BIAPA booth at the Lewisburg Fall Fest the day before the race - sharing information about BIAPA and brain safety. Brain Safety Fairs with free bicycle helmet fittings
Educational programs about the brain and the impact of brain injury
Brain Injury Resource Line, which offers information about resources that may be of help to people with brain injury or their family.
A Meaningful Holiday Gift If you’d like to make a gift in honor of a friend, family member or colleague, please note that information on our secure donation form, and we'll send our Helmets for the Holidays bicycling snowman card with a message about your gift to the person you've honored.

Join every Tuesday at 5:00 PM, either in-person or virtually via Zoom, for a supportive and understanding community of brain injury survivors and caregivers. Each week the group will explore different topics related to recovery, share personal stories and celebrate small “wins” together. Occasionally a guest speaker will share their expertise, insights, or personal journeys to inspire and educate the group.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Brain Injury Challenge: Race for Recovery on Sunday, October 5 at Tyler State Park. More that 360 runners, walkers, rollers and friends gathered for a truly inspiring morning! As of October 27, we've raised over $18,000 for BIAPA and Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation. Special congratulations to the top fundraising team - Jerry's Crew (pictured below), who exceeded their goal and raised $4,257!

BIAPA at Duquesne University’s Community Engagement Fair
The Brain Injury Association of Pennsylvania (BIAPA) was honored to participate in Duquesne University’s Center for Community Engaged Teaching and Research Community Engagement Fair, held October 6–8, 2025. This vibrant event brought together over 60 community service organizations committed to fostering meaningful partnerships with students, faculty, and community groups.
Representing BIAPA was Dr. Michelle McCann, BIAPA Board Member, who engaged with students exploring ways to connect learning with real-world impact and build stronger community connections.
BIAPA was grateful for the opportunity to share resources, raise awareness about brain injury, and support students in developing workforce readiness skills through community-based collaboration.

The BIAPA statewide virtual support group will meet Thursday, November 20 at 5 PM. This tight-knit community consists of survivors, caregivers, family members and professionals from across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania! Please use thisZoom Link to access the meeting.
BIAPA's next Caregiver Support Group will be held on Wednesday, November 12 at 6 PM. This monthly, virtual meeting is open to all caregivers. The meetings are an excellent opportunity for caregivers to meet one another, share experiences and discuss topics of unique relevance to their roles. No pre-registration is required!
